Tunes of Glory (Original title)
Dates: 1960 (Copyright), 09 January 1961 (Release)

Country: United Kingdom

Director: Ronald Neame

Synopsis: Drama. Story of a bitter clash between two senior officers of a famous Scottish regiment. Brash, bullying Lieutenant Colonel Jock Sinclair rules the roost in the castle where the regiment is based, but he does with a laid back attitude to discipline and a fondness for partying in the mess with lots of whiskey and Scottish dancing. Sinclair is put in his place by his new superior, Basil Barrow, an Eton-educated man of strict adherence to rules. When Sinclair is involved in a violent incident in a local pub, Barrow must decide how best to deal with it, since the proper course of a court martial would bring shame to the regiment he and Sinclair love. Sinclair tries to talk Barrow out of the court martial, but neither man can foresee where the decision will lead.
